Cooked rice
Peanuts
Oil
Mustard seeds
Urad dal (split black gram)
Chana dal (split chickpeas)
Fresh curry leaves
Ginger
Green chilies
Red chili powder
Asafoetida (Hing)
Salt
Turmeric
Water

Instructions:
Begin by heating a tablespoon of oil in a pan. Once hot, add the peanuts and roast them until they turn a delightful golden brown. Set the roasted peanuts aside.
In the same pan, add another tablespoon of oil. When it's heated, toss in the mustard seeds, urad dal, and chana dal. Sauté them until they take on a golden hue.
To this aromatic mix, add fresh curry leaves, finely chopped ginger, green chilies, and a pinch of red chili powder. Continue to sauté until the fragrance of ginger and curry leaves fills the air.
Now, season the mixture with salt, turmeric, and a dash of asafoetida (hing). Stir well to combine all the flavors.
Pour in three tablespoons of water, allowing it to meld with the spices. As the water evaporates, you'll be left with a flavorful, slightly wet mixture.
